Kirby Jackson is a Waterloo-based artist, painting abstract landscapes since 1994.
Urban and rural surroundings influence her interpretation of nature and life.
Early watercolour experimentation turned into acrylic painting, exploring texture
and nature’s light to tell the story of a leaf or tree lined horizon. Swayed by the
variations in nature’s colours and seasonal transformations, she is spirited to
capture a small moment in nature.
Steadying on, her work has evolved to include link art, mixed media adventures
and more recently, mosaic portraits.
