An award-winning mixed media & collage artist, Norma McDonald also practices printmaking and bookbinding, and produces “altered” books. In her art, Norma uses watercolours, acrylic, pastels, pencils, crayons, transfers, monotypes, various papers and anything else that comes to hand.

Her abstract and semi-abstract paintings are very colourful, and she uses multiple layers and textures in them. Norma’s interest in travel, nature and ancient ruins appears regularly in her paintings.

Norma traveled and lived in various countries for 20 years before returning to settle in Waterloo Region.
