As a freelance artist for over 20 years, Deborah has seen her career take her in many directions. She has had the opportunity to design exhibits for trade shows, create presentation drawings for designers and architects, and paint house portraits. She learned the art of theatre set painting and painted sets for Drayton and the “Theatre and Company” stage. Deborah was pleased to create the watercolour illustrations for the children’s book, The Cat. She has also had the privilege of teaching pencil drawing and perspective to students young and old. As well, her camera is always close at hand, complementing these ventures and helping her eyes to focus on the details.

Deborah is currently painting in acrylics, experimenting with a freer style than was required for some of her previous work. A few themes which she continues to enjoy are her appreciation for architecture, the exploration of colour and light, and her love for things “Square”.
