Diane Eastham's book, Blaze of Colour: Embracing Creativity, is being honored as Shelf Unbound Notable Book in the category of Instructional Books in The Third Annual Shelf Unbound Writing Competition for Best Independently Published Book.

Button Factory's ARTS Market

UpTown Gallery artists, Barbara Di Renzo and Jane Bayne will be at the Button Factory ARTS Market from November 29th to Saturday, January 10th, 2015. Opening reception is on Saturday, November 29th from 7 to 10pm.

Petal Power & 4th Anniversry at Gallery M

Christine and Mary Lou are among the artists featured in this celebration at Gallery MOpening reception is Thursday, December 4th from 10am to 9pm. Exhibition runs until January 12, 2015.

    The Opening Reception for re/collections and Patron Appreciation will be held on Sunday, November 23rd, from 2 to 4 pm.

    Runs from Wednesday, November 19th to Tuesday, January 20th, 2015.

    re/collections interprets the acts of collecting and recollecting.  In this fast paced and ever-changing world our memories, treasured times, and assembled precious objects gather importance as they sooth and comfort, educate or illuminate, or simply foretell future fates.

  • Drip, Dribble, Splash

    featuring Mary Guillaume, Cathy Pascoe, and Jean Weller.
    Exhibition runs from Wednesday, January 14th to mid-March of 2015. 

    In the new show, the  Featured Artists at UpTown Gallery play with  paint, coloured pencils and photographs as they explore the various possibilities of Drip, Drizzle and Splash! 

    In paint, Mary Guillaume breaks free and goes wild, pushing boundaries and painting outside the lines; Cathy Pascoe explores the myriad patterns of light and shadow in her work and finds the secret to conveying the reflective quality of water through art lies in the details. If you are fascinated by reflections, water, light patterns and shiny surfaces, you will enjoy her work; Jean Weller travels with camera in hand, waiting for the right moment when lighting and composition are at their best. Arctic scenes showcasing water and ice will be featured in the new show.

Uptown Gallery is a co-operative of over 25 local artists. We are located in UpTown Waterloo.


All artwork exhibited in UpTown Gallery is by artists local to the Waterloo area. We offer a diverse range of art, including ceramics, glass, paintings, photography, printmaking, drawing, and sculpture.

Learn from the artists of UpTown Gallery to draw, paint, fuse glass, collage and more. Workshops take place at the Gallery and other area locations.


We have six shows a year. Each show features the artwork of specific UpTown Gallery Artists.


One of the mandates of UpTown Gallery is bringing art to our local community. Throughout the year we offer free art workshops and lectures.
